Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sathia ("Service"), operated by Paul Poulose ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using Sathia, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sathia is an AI-powered family memory and coordination platform. It captures, organises, and surfaces information you share with it, on your behalf, using AI models. Sathia acts as a coordination layer — it does not replace human judgment and will ask for your approval before taking consequential actions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Sathia account. By inviting family members under 18 ("Contacts" or "Members"), you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and accept responsibility for their use of the Service.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Plans: Sathia offers a Founding Member plan ($9/month, feature-envelope locked for life for the first 100 families), a Family plan ($15/month or $119/year), and a Family Max plan ($25/month or $199/year). A 30-day free trial is available on paid plans.

Founding Member plan: The $9/month rate is locked permanently. The plan covers the core Sathia feature set as it exists at launch. Premium capabilities added to Family Max after launch may not be included in the Founding plan; Founding Members may upgrade at any time.

Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period.

Service cost adjustment: We reserve the right to adjust usage tiers with 60 days' notice if underlying third-party AI infrastructure costs increase materially (defined as a sustained >30% increase in base model pricing over 60 days). The Founding Member base price ($9/month) is not subject to this clause.

Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Sathia to: (a) violate any law or regulation; (b) harass, abuse, or harm others; (c) transmit spam or unsolicited messages; (d) attempt to circumvent security or access controls; (e) use the Service to train or fine-tune AI models other than Sathia's own internal processing on your behalf; (f) impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

6. Your Data

You own your family's data. Sathia does not sell, share, or use your data to train AI models for any party other than in providing the Service to you. Your data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard key management. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You may export or delete your data at any time through the Service. Upon account deletion, your data is purged according to the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

7. AI-Generated Content

Sathia uses AI models to process your requests and generate responses. AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated action before it takes effect. Sathia will always request your confirmation before sending messages, making purchases, or taking other consequential actions on your behalf.

8. Intellectual Property

The Sathia name, logo, and platform software are owned by Paul Poulose. Your family's memories, captures, and data remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sathia is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Sathia at any time. Sections 6, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Paul Poulose is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small-claims court where applicable.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice by email or in-product notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
